Summary
nardy is a board game made by Aleksei Romanov (“we”). It has no server of its own and no user accounts. We do not collect, store or receive any personal data about you. Everything the app remembers is kept on your iPhone.
Data on your device
To work properly, nardy stores the following locally on your iPhone:
- your settings: theme, board, dice style, roll animation, app icon, sound, haptics and move hints;
- unfinished matches, so you can continue where you left off;
- your statistics: games played, wins and losses, rating, streaks, dice statistics and game analysis.
This data is never sent to us. It may be included in your device backups under your iCloud or computer backup settings. Deleting the app removes it.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, nardy uses it for online matchmaking and leaderboards. In that case:
- Apple provides the app with your Game Center player identity and display name, so opponents can see who they are playing;
- moves and match state are exchanged with your opponent through Game Center during an online game;
- your rating, total wins and daily challenge streak are submitted to Game Center leaderboards.
Game Center is operated by Apple and covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can sign out of Game Center or change its visibility settings at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
Local network play
When you play nearby on two phones, nardy asks for permission to access your local network so it can find the other player on the same Wi-Fi. To show who is playing, nardy shares your player name (the name you enter, or your Game Center alias if you are signed in) with nearby devices running nardy. Match data is sent directly between the two devices and does not pass through any server of ours. You can turn this permission off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
What we don’t do
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting or advertising services.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.
- The app contains no third-party SDKs. Apart from Apple’s Game Center, it uses no outside services.
Data retention and deletion
Data stored by nardy stays on your iPhone until you delete the app, which removes it permanently. We keep no copies, because nothing is sent to us. Match data exchanged with an opponent is used only for the game in progress. Information held by Game Center is kept and deleted under Apple’s policies; you can manage it, or ask Apple to delete it, at privacy.apple.com.
Children
nardy is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, export or delete on your behalf. You stay in control on your device: delete the app to remove everything it stored, withdraw consent for nearby play by turning off local network access in Settings, or stop online play and leaderboards by signing out of Game Center. If you have any request about your data, write to us and we will answer.
Changes to this policy
If the way nardy handles data changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships in the app.
